In India, Asus just unveiled a new variant of the popular ZenFone Max. Now called the Asus ZenFone Zoom (2016), the said handset has an upgraded SoC, storage capacity and operating system.

Coming from its much slower Snapdragon 410 processor, the all new ZenFone Max is now using the more powerful Snapdragon 615 octa core chip paired with Adreno 405 GPU. That setup will now make your apps open and load faster, can now handle heavier type of games with less lags and stutters.
Apart from the upgrade in chipset, the ZenFone Max (2016) also touts dramatic upgrade in storage as it now has double the ROM at 32 GB which is expandable by the way. The last and the most important of them is it now runs with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The rest of the configuration remains the same like its 5.5 inch HD IPS OGS screen, 2 GB RAM, 13 / 5 MP cameras and LTE connectivity. It runs with Android 5.0 Lollipop w/ ZenUI skin on top.
