Great news! Aside from the Snapdragon variants of the ZenFone 2 series, Asus just announced via ZenTalk that the regular Intel editions of the ZenFone 2 will get the highly anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update.

For the (ZE551ML) and (ZE551ML), startung this June 13, 2016, you'll get a notification or prompt for the that'll remind you to update.
Just like their other handsets that was updated to this latest version of Android, your phone will be an improved machine after. The internal storage of the phone will slightly decrease, at least 18 bloatwares will be removed, it'll make your phone smoother, and will have slightly better battery life.
Before updating, make sure to back-up all your files and you have sufficient battery life. It'll be much better too if you reset your phone after the update for a smoother feel.
