After months of speculations and rumors, Apple has finally launched the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus earlier.

As expected, it goes with several improvements in design and hardware that's now equipped with several features that's not present with the previous iPhone models. Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus now has a pressure sensitive home button, IP67 water resistance, and doesn't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack anymore. Though Apple will supply a lightning port to 3.5 mm adapter when released.

The regular iPhone 7 sports an improved 4.7 inch Retina display with a resolution of 1334 x 758 pixels at 326 ppi protected with an Ion-strengthened glass and a better 12 MP f/1.8 main camera w/ OIS and quad LED flash.
The new 12MP snapper is 60% faster and 30% more efficient. Like its predecessor the camera has optical image stabilization. The lens is a new 6-element lens with a quad-LED flash to aid in low light. The 28mm camera has an f/1.8 aperture while the 58mm telephoto camera has a rather slow f/2.8 opening. The FaceTime selfie camera has received a two megapixel bump up to 7MP.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will be packed with a larger 5.5 inch Retina display with 1920 x 1080 resolution at 401 ppi. Then it'll be the first iPhone to use a dual main camera setup at the back with 12 MP f/1.8 28 mm and 12 MP f/2.8 56 mm that can create bokeh (ala Huawei P9), wide angle effect (ala LG G5), and 2x optical zoom.
Both handsets are still equipped with a durable and bend resistant 7000 series aluminum, speedier 64 bit Apple A10 Fusion quad core processor (faster than Snapdragon 820), 2 GB RAM, 32 / 128 / 256 GB storage, 7 MP selfie camera, WiFi, LTE, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, A GPS, and will run with iOS 10 software.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in rose gold, silver, matte black, glossy black, and gold color variants. Then the iPhone 7 Plus will have a special jet black edition.
The price of iPhone 7 starts at USD 649 while the iPhone 7 Plus at USD 769. There's no word about international availability though.
