Apart from the TECNO CAMON 40 Pro and CAMON 40 Premier, the brand also introduced a base variant as an affordable alternative.
TECNO CAMON 40 is now official in PH
The new phone is positioned as the company's budget-friendly option with a capable primary camera for mobile photography.
The device shares several similarities with the Pro model, though it features a slightly more subdued design and specifications. Instead of the higher IP69 rating, it comes with an IP66-rated body for reliable water-splash resistance while retaining the SGS 5-Star Certification and 360-degree Drop Resistance for protection against everyday impacts.
Available in Emerald Glow Green, Galaxy Black, Glacier White, and Emerald Lake Green, the phone measures 164.16 x 74.64 x 7.34 mm.
It sports a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display instead of a curved panel but maintains a 120Hz refresh rate, an FHD+ resolution of 2436 x 1080, and a pixel density of 393 ppi.
Internally, the device is equipped with a 2.2GHz 6nm Helio G100 Ultimate octa-core processor and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
It offers 8GB of RAM (expandable up to 16GB via Extended RAM), 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and a large 5,200mAh battery supporting 45W Super Charge technology via USB-C.
The rear camera setup mirrors the Pro model, featuring a 50MP 1/1.56-inch OIS main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, dual flash, a One-Tap Button, and AI FlashSnap for quick, high-quality captures. For selfies, it uses a 32MP front camera instead of a 50MP sensor.
Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM support.
Finally, the device runs on Android 15 with enhanced TECNO AI capabilities.
