The rumor started when a Redmi phone with model numbers M1912G7BE/M1912G7BC received 3C certification in China. Some speculated that it is the Snapdragon 730G version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro with 27W fast charging.
But, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing debunked the claim in a reply to a fan on Weibo.
Besides, the current Redmi Note 8 Pro with MediaTek Helio G90T is already very good for the price.
